: Sustainability Manager, Red Line North (RLN) Underground Construction Project, Employer: ISG Joint Venture Client: Qatar Rail Sustainability Manager for two billion dollar rail design and construction project in Qatar, which includes seven stations and 13 kilometres of tunnel. Responsibilities involved assessment and implementation of sustainable design and construction under the Global Sustainability Assessment Scheme (GSAS). Plus development of sustainable energy solutions for the construction works and for operation of a Workers Accommodation Camp.

Independent consultant undertaking projects in UK and Middle East, including Sir Bin Yasin Island and Estimada sustainability assessment projects in Abu Dhabi, working with design of renewable technologies.

Development of a sustainability consultancy team and portfolio of clients within Price and Myers. The sustainability division undertook a number of projects such as the Dagenham Industrial Park scheme, which involved centralised energy and synergy design.

Responsibilities included the marketing and development of energy and sustainability services and capabilities including mentoring of junior consultants, undertaking technical training. Principal Consultant on projects including the 600,000 m2 Cross Harbour development in London, which required design of photovoltaic and biomass energy systems and supervision of the works during installation.

Short-term contract to undertake Thermal and HVAC (Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning) modelling for refurbishment of Bank in Oxford. This included training the Enviros Consultants in Thermal Modelling.

Employer: Modern Hong Yung Real Estate Client: Chinese Ministry of Construction Design of passive and energy efficient mixed urban development (2.4 million m2) in Bejing, working in liaison with the Scheme Architect. This included detailed design of centralised trigeneration (electricity, heating and cooling) for mixed development blocks, and ground-sourced heat humps for detached residential properties. The role also required training of the construction team in energy efficient building techniques, together with supervision and checking of the installation of the energy infrastructure and building envelope This project was also part of the PhD research and qualification together lecturing at Chalmers University of Technology in Sweden
